TESTIMONIALS

Barry & Denise Clout Kings Lynn, Norfolk UK

Barry is a retired Pathology Manager and Denise is a Senior Scientist in Blood Transfusion in the National Health Service at the local hospital in Kings Lynn, Norfolk in the UK.

Having enjoyed a holiday at a Borgo in Colletta Sottana, we returned home and searched the internet for similar places in Tuscany, looking for something different, quiet, and suitably located to visit some of the beautiful towns and cities in Italy, as we particularly like visiting the many churches and seeing the art work hidden within their walls.

Also we have a love of wine and Italian food for which Tuscany is ideal, and the Hamlet’s Trattoria is a fine exponent.

We were also looking to invest some of my impending retirement pension for the benefit of the whole family so we can all enjoy relaxing and rewarding holidays for years to come, and we feel we have achieved this, and we will be bringing family from Canada next year to sample the delights of the Hamlet and Tuscany.

Although the investment has been considerable, it was never about finance, rather more a lifestyle investment, and something to pass onto our children and grandchildren. When we are both retired in a couple of years we hope to visit as often and long as we can, but at present we come twice a year.

Our first impressions of the Hamlet were immediate when we went off the road on the access road – not a good start, however that has been overcome and the remoteness and originality, mixed with peace and quiet, supported by excellent staff “sold” the Hamlet to us during our first stay.

With easy, cost effective travel to and from the UK to Tuscany, this was a final reason for us choosing Borgo di Vagli and hope to enjoy the Hamlet for years to come.
