If You Were Here Now

If you were at Borgo di Vagli in your Tuscan residence in the coming months, below are a few attractions to consider attending.

Leonardo da Vinci - Visions
Sansepolcro
until February 24th, 2020

This exhibition features Leonardo da Vinci’s universal genius and challenges of technology. It is the result of a major project of the Museo Galileo in Florence and represents a synthesis of three separate exhibitions held in the past. Setting out to pay tribute to the great man on the 500th anniversary of his death, it encourages visitors to explore some of Leonardo’s ambitious designs and projects of almost unimaginable complexity.

Lights on Trasimeno Lake
Castiglione del Lago
Dec 7th-Jan 6th, 2020

Spotlights lit up on Lake Trasimeno for its ambitious project: creating the shape of a Christmas tree over water (Luci sul Trasimeno). A one-kilometre long installation that involves the use of about 70 load-bearing posts planted in the bottom of the lake, 2,400 perimeter bulbs, 50 internal lamps and 5 kilometres of cable: a candidate to become the largest Christmas tree lit on the water in the world.
The Christmas Tree drawn on the water will be visible every evening from the park of the Medieval Fortress of Castiglione del Lago.
Citizens can make a concrete contribution to the company by "adopting" one of the 2,400 bulbs that make up the tree: with 20 euros they will receive a certificate and give a tree to the country that will be planted in 2020 in Castiglione del Lago area, with the aim of reducing to minimum the ecological footprint of the project.
The event Luci sul Trasimeno will also offer a rich program of events, shows and entertainment during the entire month, animating the town with style and warmth: a fairy-tale setting that will offer a unique atmosphere.
